What are biomarkers?

A biomarker is a biological molecule found in blood, other body fluids, or tissues, that is a sign of a normal or abnormal process, or of a condition or disease. A biomarker is used to indicate health by measuring the function of a tissue or organ, indicating the impact of a health challenge and to measure how well the body responds to a treatment. Also called molecular marker and signature molecule.

Blood sampling

Blood samples are provided by the customer, following detailed protocols provided by WellFish Tech (training videos and on-site training are provided if required).

Analysis

All consumables for sampling and sample transportation are provided to ensure safe and rapid transportation to the WellFish laboratory. Samples are analysed fresh upon arrival in the laboratory.

Results in 24 hours

Data is interpreted using our bespoke algorithm-based AI models and presented within 24h of receipt via our secure, intuitive website portal enabling data informed husbandry decision making.
